As I mention in my post, “My Five-Year Relapse”, thyroid levels are out of control. The decision is made to change endocrinologists and moving into January, a CBC panel is ordered because of concern. White blood cell count percentage is low but Methimazole can cause this to happen. S0 my doctor explains that if the percentage continues to show low, I will have to stop taking the medicine. To my surprise, I find Emma Tara and relapsing in a video online.
Mixed signals are crowding my mind because of an increase in medication leading to additional hair loss and body tremors are back. A betta-blocker is prescribed for heart palpitations and the shakes. My doctor’s assistant calls to inform me that I must check my blood-pressure every morning prior to making sure my pressure is not low because I will not be able to take a betta-blocker if this is the case.
The continuous cycle is frustrating because I was so close to remission. For five years, I try to avoid stress, maintain a routine, and rest when fatigue set’s in. Is my body rejecting the medication, and this is the end of the road? I am skeptical about surgery! I want to keep fighting my journey with Graves’ Disease.
About every two to three weeks, I get bloodwork for thyroid levels. My new endocrinologist is very thorough about screening my white blood cell count, along with other levels. I take magnesium now along with calcium. My body feels the change. Still having issues at bedtime. Some nights are difficult to fall asleep.
I am hoping to get back on track with plans to start exercising. The video below from Emma Tara and relapsing attracts my attention. Sharing the experiences of others is not only uplifting but provides new ideas on healthy living. One must be careful on a health journey if you have an auto-immune disease. Emma Tara and relapsing talks about drinking smoothies and lifting weights. I find her personality to instill positivity into my day.
Always communicate with your doctor first before making changes in your health journey. I hope you find Emma Tara as inspirational as I do! Don’t forget the free smoothie recipes on my home page!
